September in Boston: Qponus Giveaway

In a city as big as Boston, it’s hard to get a handle on the neighborhoods, restaurants, gym deals, and social scene when you first move. It can definitely be overwhelming when you are already dealing with school or work!

September has always been the unofficial marker of the “beginning.” Whether it is for school, a job, a new apartment, or simply the beginning of cooler weather, September is always a time for change.

So, if you are just moving to Boston, welcome! I know when I first moved to the city a year ago, I knew nothing about where to live, where to buy my food, and how ride the sometimes confusing T. But when Qponus Coupons contacted me recently, I thought what a more perfect opportunity to help a young Bostonian figure out the ropes of the city!

Qponus is a company that focuses on getting Bostonian deals on popular places, activities, and events in Boston. They offer percentage off popular restaurants, spas, gyms-whatever you can think of! Qponus is a great way to for the local gal on a budget to try out the hot places and activities in town.

September 2009 marks one year since I moved to Beantown. I’ve learned a lot about myself and met some fantastic people in the city. I’ve loved my time in this town, but I will be moving in September and starting a new adventure!

So, in the spirit of new beginnings and keeping life adventurous, Qponus and GG Boston have joined up to give away a Qponus Coupon. Leave a comment below with why you love fall in Boston by September 18 to be in the drawing to win the coupon.

Good luck!

I love Boston because everyone is so friendly and I never feel overwhelmed. Plus I can shop every day on my way home

This is a great resource even for people who live here...who doesn't love a discount?

I love Boston in the fall because of the leaves, because the weather is perfect and because the city is so walkable, fall is the perfect time to explore.

I love fall in Boston because the weather, which is normally not one of Boston's strong points, is FANTASTIC. Nowhere does the crispness of Fall air quite like Boston, and when the leaves change color everything is so damn pretty!

I love Boston in the Fall, because you can still wear summer clothes and not have to worry about hot sticky weather, just throw a cardigan on and you're golden. Plus, the debut of fall nail color shades.... :)

I love that it is a walkable city...I prefer to describe it as a "big town with lots to do"...somewhat of a best of both worlds!

I love Boston because it's a manageable city and not too overwhelming like NYC. I love the many areas of Boston, like the North End, South End, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Fenway...anyone can find an area that is perfect for their lifestyle. However, it's hard to explain what exactly I love about Boston. Simply, it's my home!

I love Boston because it's a small and cosy town, and everything is so accessible. The place has such a strong sense of history, but with all the academics and startups, it is also such a hotbed for innovation for the future. The people are just great - friendly and warm - and it's just a beautifully green and well preserved city.
