Carla Blumenthal - Contributing Writer

An eight-year-old Carla stood at the base of Penn Station in New York City. As she took in the tall buildings, poignant smells, and busy people, she promised herself that she would live in a city after college. At a young age, Carla became fascinated how cities reflected the heartbeat of trends, fashion, politics, knowledge, and culture. She recently became interested in how people form relationships and how the Internet is changing those relationships, and with it, the world. Perhaps this is what fuels her love (obsession) for people watching, big cities, and coffee shops (all both individually and separate).

After graduating from James Madison University, Carla moved to Boston to continue her education at Emerson College in Global Marketingwhere she will graduate in summer, 2009. She hopes to build a career that combines her passions for social media, traveling, and connecting people. Carla enjoys running, tea, playing on her Mac, writing for her group blog Life Before Noon, and good conversations with friends.

Carla looks forward to writing and talking about all things Boston as she explores what Beantown has to offer.
