Monday Morning Tip:Make a SmoothieYour Breakfast & Mid Day Snack In One

Hi Chicas,

I just had a feast at my best friend's Superbowl party last night. I'm also t-Minus one month away from my wedding. Full speed ahead on getting back to my healthy eating habits.  I always eat/drink smoothies.  It's one of the easiest things you can make that not only keeps you full, but also does a body good. Here is a step by step guide, with pictures, to get you psyched on making yummy smoothies. First, let's start with your ingredients:

Makes Two Servings

  • Skim Milk (1 cup)
  • Fat Free or Light Vanilla/French Vanilla Yogurt (1/2 cup)
  • Frozen Berries (1 cup)
  • Natural Peanut Butter (2 teaspoons)
  • Protein Powder (1 scoopful)
  • Ground flaxseed, not pictured (1 tablespoon)

I always keep this stuff stocked in my place. The berries are easy. Frozen = available year round.

Next, mix everything up in your blender. Mix for a good 30 seconds to ensure smoothness.  Once youCimg0327 get the consistency yoCimg0329u desire, pour half of the mixture in a glass to drink now and place the rest in a thermos like canister.

When that 3 pm stomach starts to grumble, you have a pre-made snack ready to go.
