Review: Pepperface Pepper Spray
In my last post I wrote a safety recap from the Gals' Guide Summit. I also mentioned that I would be reviewing two things I learned about that day: The Gift of Fear and pepperspray from Pepperface.com. I'm still working on the book, but I received my pepperspray at the beginning of this week. Luckily I haven't had to use it yet, but I really wanted to!

I remember being told to test the pepperspray on yourself because you don't want the first time you feel it to be when you're defending yourself. Unfortunately, I couldn't get myself to push the button and spray myself. It's kind of like bungee jumping. I'd have to be pushed - there's no way I'm free falling.
I can tell you that I LOVE the sleek design of the spray container. Pepperface's containers are reusable and refillable. It comes with a heat spray and a test spray. Assuming you're not spraying everyone you come in contact with, those inserts should last you a decent amount of time.

Right now I carry the spray on my keychain (it looks like a small flashlight.) I do like that I can easily slide it into the pocket of my jeans for quick access. Pepperface might seem like it's on the pricey side, but after doing a bit of research, I found that most companies selling sleek, stylish designs charge more. You can get the usual bulky spray for $12-15, but if you want it fitting into your pocket easily or disguising it as lipstick or a flashlight, it's going to cost you a bit more. Luckily Gals' Guide Summit attendees received a coupon for 25% off in their bags!
If you don't mind spending a bit of money, I recommend checking out pepperface.com.

I think I need to get one of these.
I like the mace pepper batons because it can be placed on a keychain, be used as a kubotan, and also a pepper spray. The ultimate handheld self defense spray.
