Make This Year A Better Holiday Season For EVERYONE

Generally, I and most of the rest of the population think that September is a little too early to start buying Christmas gifts and seeing displays in department and grocery stores! I start shopping after Thanksgiving, maybe that’s just me!

 It may be too early to start shopping for Christmas and putting up displays, but it is never too early to help our troops, their children and every other less-fortunate family in the United States.

Toys for Tots is run by the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Toys for Tots objective: The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

Each year, my husband and I donate toys and money to the foundation. Toys collected from the foundation are distributed to needy families just before Christmas. The misconception is that toys only go to military families, wrong—the toys go to every needy family who registers locally or on toysfortots.org

How can you help? Well, I think all of us gals love makeup, so help me and my campaign to raise at least $1,000 for Toys for Tots this year!
