What Every Gal Should Watch Tonight: Rihanna on 20/20

What moved me about the initial interviews I saw with Rihanna was that she mentioned her strength. Even with such powerful strength, she was blinded by love and went back in the arms of the man who abused her.
I hope many of you watch Rihanna's interview on 20/20 tonight. A reminder to us all that we are indeed human.

To be totally honest, I have mixed feelings about this interview. Isn't it just a bit convenient that she is doing it right before her new album comes out? Maybe I am too jaded but seems fishy to me. I haven't seen the interview but I do hope that she is honest because she has a lot of young women looking up to her and unfortunately some are in her situation.
I watched the interview. I had a number of cynical thoughts, but I tried to focus on the huge amount of good that interview could do. I thought she was very articulate and gave America some insight into what a battered woman goes through. I'm glad she's had the strength to do this interview and I hope that it will result in many women finding the courage to leave a dangerous situation.
