Loving My Neti Pot
A cold my niece gave me made me bite the bullet and see what all the Neti fuss is about. At 34 weeks preggers, there isn't much I can take over the counter (and prefer not to). I remembered the Oprah/Dr. Oz segment on the Neti and decided to check things out. Many of my allergy ridden friends swear by the Neti.
What exactly is a Neti Pot? Yep, it's a pot. A mixture of distilled water, saline and baking soda is swooshed in the pot. You take the pot to one of your nostrils, tilt your head to the side and pour water into your nose. Keep your mouth open, as the solution should fall out of the other nostril. Blow your nose if you can and you'll see a stream of lovely mucus fall out. (Hey no one said science is pretty).
I use my pot morning and night and it does indeed clear my airwaves. At a retail price of $14 for the pot and 50 packets, not a bad deal.
Anyone have their own Neti Pot experiences they want to share?
