Let go...jump...live

The last month has been a crazy one for many of the 20-Something Bloggers. A large group took a trip to Vegas early in June and we held our first 20SB meet-up here in Chicago last weekend. It was amazing coming face to face with many of the bloggers we follow online. It's easy to get wrapped up in their lives forgetting that you've never once met this person, let alone spoke to them on the phone! The relationships and connections I've developed are some that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

With that said, a fellow blogger made a great point today: don't wait for these opportunities to allow yourself to feel alive. Don't wait for a trip to Vegas or a night out with friends to put that spring in your step. We should feel this every day to some extent. The people and experiences of course make that feeling even more special, but don't get so absorbed in someone else's life that you're dependent on them for happiness. Find support within your community, but don't use it as a crutch.

You don't need a special occasion to feel alive. Take the experiences and memories and use them to make your days brighter. Cheesy, I know, but sometimes we all need the reminder. So don't wait. If you're unhappy in your relationship, living situation, job, take a step back and figure out what it is that's making you unhappy. What would make you happier? Don't wait for a better opportunity because it might not come. Let go...jump...live.
