We all had mixed reviews on the entire resort experience, but all 21 of us agreed that the wedding coordinator/staff at the resort was not that helpful. On top of that, rates for the bride kept 'creeping up'. The scoop:

It's been close to three weeks now. Michael's almost moved in, the professional pictures are being cherry picked by the photographers and the name is officially changed. We were engaged for a full year and planned for a full year. I have plenty of tips to share - in the form of dos and don'ts. I decided to honor my Orthodox faith and wear my wedding band on my right hand. Michael is wearing his band on his right hand, too, honoring old Roman traditions...and he's Catholic. To some, it's 'going against the grain', but you'd be interested to read how other countries wear their bands and surprise, alotta folks actually wear their rings on their right hand.
I've also been getting questions about the Eastern Orthodox religion and how it compares to the Big One: Catholic. You'll see that they are pretty darn similar...and were the exact same up until 1054 AD. The Colorado Springs Gazette did a terrific job with explaining Orthodoxy, along with why Easter falls on a different date.
Bottom line, I'm not too religious, but I do have a great deal of respect for how things became the way they are and try to respect them as much as I can.
