August Giveaway: Nintendo Wii Fit!

That's right - the cool stuff keeps on coming!  I attended Chicagonista's Social Media Soiree  a few weeks ago. As a lucky honoree, I was given a Wii Fit as a takeaway gift. Well, how could I resist deciding to give YOU a chance to win this awesome prize?

I also own a Wii Fit and what can I say, I love it. From yoga to balance to strength, it's done wonders for me.

So, would YOU like to win this Wii Fit? Simply answer this question in the comments:

How would a Wii Fit make your life easier?

You have until August 31 to enter:)!

I am hugely sensitive to weather so that only compounds my tendency to not exercise because it is less than ideal outside (or to even TRAVEL to the gym). Seriously, huge baby.
So having that right in my home, and it being fun with the exercise games on it and all, would be a great improvement for my motivation.

I've been trying to get myself in shape for numerous reasons, my health (I have high blood pressure) and because I've recently graduated with my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and would like to get into law enforcement, which you have to be in shape to pass the physical exam. The problem is that although I've been watching what I've been eating, I haven't been as quick to stick with workouts because they feel like...well, like work. I feel having something fun to do that would also allow me to get a workout is the perfect solution. Not to mention, I love video games, so it would be a combination of doing something I love to do and doing something I need to do.

I've put on 30 lbs in the last 12 months, going from the low end of healthy weight in my height/build range to the very tippy-top, almost into unhealthy. It's the family curse that strikes in the last 20s (ding!) and brings with it high blood pressure (ding!) and high cholesterol (safe so far). My older brother, dad and mom all had to make drastic changes in diet and exercise at that point in their lives.

Now it's my turn.

My mom and dad have a Wii Fit and say it is the best way to motivate themselves to work out. I love using theirs when I go to their house, from hula hoops to skiing. It's really helped my dad especially - he's lost 15 pounds. I have a big problem with motivation for workouts (who doesn't?) and convenience (can't afford the gym, live in scary neighborhood where can't jog or bike) and the Wii Fit seems like an awesome way to get me off my (increasingly big) butt and getting healthy again.

I want to stop this weight gain now before it gets worse and I end up like my brother, who does NOT have a Wii Fit and is 70 lbs overweight. Obviously, the Wii Fit is key. And I will stop eating brownies.

August has started off being the worst month in the history of months for me. I would love a Wii fit to use to shake me out of the current 'I just want to lay here until things get better' attitude. My friends who have one rave about them and I can see the positive difference that regularly using one has had in their lives.

I would be able to work out at home which would make my life so much easier. Working nights makes me nocturnal so being able to work out whenever I want would mean I could work out every day.

I recently had my third baby (in three years) & I was just cleared for exercise last week. I'm sooo ready to lose 3 yrs of baby weight. However, with three kids, it's hard to get out of the house to exercise. We have a double stroller, but that means either the 2 yr old has to walk with me in the road - no sidewalks here :P - or I have to carry the newborn in a carrier. This wii fit would make exercising easier -- I might even get the kids to join in with me :)

A Wii Fit would make my life easier because I don't have money for a gym. I do my best when I can, but a Wii Fit would be fantastic. It seems like it will be really excellent on my knees and hips because I have problems with them. Makes doing many exercises difficult.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!

This would make my life easier because I wouldn't have to think of ways to exercise and I wouldn't have to go away from home. I could have something right there and that would be great b/c I need to get more in shape and just be healthier. My mom as well because she has a lot of medical issues and I know she'd love to try this to see if it helps out and is more fun than other ways of exercising.

This would make my life easier mainly because I would be able to fashionably work out, and at the same time, enjoy every minute of it! Staying physically fit is top priority for me, and if I can have a smile on my face, working out while having fun, well, I think I have said enough. Have a beautiful day!

As an avid runner and yoga aficionado, there's nothing more discouraging than the Chicago winters...especially after growing up in the good ole Deep South. My roommate and I enjoy working out together in the morning before work, and no gym offers this kind of variety on command. and snow and ice at 5am is SUCH a deterrent. Plus, my bf lives in DC and I always feel bad ditching him for a few hours on the weekends to get in a workout, when we see so little of each other as it is. He just got a wii for his apartment and I'd love to bring this along with me on the weekends as something fun and healthy we can do together! a win-win for sure :)

Living in NYC, space is somewhat of a luxury. While I belong to a gym, I sometimes wish I was able to get in a good workout in my tiny, cramped apartment... not quite the ideal setting. But with WiiFit, not only are you getting in a great workout (so I've heard) but it doesn't require much space - a New Yorker's dream! I'd love to be able to try these "digital workouts" and share them with my friends that come over! Maybe even make a mini-competition out of it!

I remember one of my Mentors in sales years ago mentioned how he used working out at lunch times as a means of stress relief. Right now, that's smoking for me, I do plan on a Sept. 5 quit date, birthday gift to wife, and will be looking for other outlets, this seems like a great alternative. Already have the Wii, I'm all set to go! go! go!

A Wii Fit would make my life easier, because I wouldn't have to travel to go to the gym. Also, I would be able to work out, whenever I feel like it.

Oh, a Wii Fit! I'm looking for ways to save money this fall and one way to save is to cut out my expensive gym membership. A Wii Fit in my living room would make life without a gym membership ok!

I am a single mom of three, employed full-time, working on my Master's degree. As you can imagine, trying to make time for myself is near impossible. Having a Wii Fit would make working out a lot easier. My children and I could workout together or I could use it after I put them to bed at night after I hit the books. Having easy access to workout equipment without having to look for a sitter would be amazing!

I have 5 kids, 2 dogs, a husband and I work 2 jobs. Trying to get somewhere to workout is impossible. If I could workout at home and not have to worry about someone to watch the kids, I might actually be able to make it happen! I spend so much time taking care of everyones needs, that I don't have any time left for myself. I do realize that there are many people out there struggling to take care of their families during these hard economic times. I feel their pain because this year has been the roughest year in my 27 years of marriage due to a job loss for main supporter of our family. We have always had to watch our money but this year funds do not allow me to purchase things that would be labeled as entertainment. Wii Fit would be a great addition in our house!

A WiiFit would make my college life sooo much easier- I could work out in the privacy and comfort of my awesome dorm room! At the gym, when you do pilates and yoga poses you get weird looks from the guys, and especially when you try to lift weights in the weight room (some of those guys could definitely lift me haha :) So I think having a WiiFit would solve all those problems!

A Wii fit would make my life easier because I hate exercising outside (it's always either too hot or too cold, and really, my neighborhood isn't that safe) and there isn't much room in my home for exercise equipment. The Wii fit is small and would be a perfect fit in my home! The Wii fit also has the added benefit of being fun, people always say that the best exercise is the one that you will do, and since the Wii fit is fun, I can see myself using it!
